Wii Games Coming Out In July

So a list of what’s coming in June isn’t enough for you? Don’t worry, you have a lot more coming out to hold your interest for July. Whatever your jones for Wii games is, fantasy, sports, or otherwise, there is a lot coming out that you don’t want to miss. July is shaping up to be a really popular month for sports games. So start saving up, or bookmark this list, just in case. Some of the games on this list might actually be coming out at different dates, so pay attention to retailers too. You never know; maybe a game or two might come out earlier!
Wonder World Amusement Park and Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo’s Dungeon are both coming out July 8th, this year. Wonder World Amusement Park is basically an interactive carnival game that allows up to four players, to “ride” interactive carnival rides, and play mini games. Looks to be mostly a fun family oriented type game. Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo’s Dungeon will be full of cute little fairy tale creatures, and pastel enemies that you can blast to kingdom come. There will also be a few virtual card games, as well as little mini-games included. The Japanese version is already out and going, but unless you can read Japanese, you’ll just have to wait for July 8th.
July 14th and 15th are two big days for fans of sports games on the Wii. Cabela’s Monster Bass is out on the 15th, and pretty self-explanatory. Battle huge fish for a chance at major trophies! Yamaha Supercross is out on the 14th, and is basically an exciting little motorbike racing game. The objective is to speed around, beat the competition, and jump off sweet ramps. More sports! Also out on the 15th, is NCAA Football 09 All-Play. Just another football game, and honestly, unless you’re a hardcore football video game enthusiast, you can pass this one up pretty easily. Rock Band Track Pack Volume 1 is coming out for the Wii on the 15th, but this is basically just MTV’s version of Guitar Hero. So, if you want a cheaper alternative with crappy graphics, then Rock Band is for you.
Out on July 22nd, are Order Up! and The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor. With Order Up!, you can relive the days of just how much it sucked working behind the grill of that crappy fast food restaurant in high school. If you ever wanted to experience your McJob all over again, in game form, try out Order Up! when it comes out in July. The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, if you haven’t seen any previews, is the game form of the movie with Brendan Fraser, Jet Li, Maria Bello. Pretty decent cast for a movie that’s shaping up to have as many sequels as Friday the 13th. Whether the game is going to be as lame as the movie looks, remains to be seen.
